What is document destruction?

There are many reasons to shred your personal or business files:

• Identity theft and corporate espionage are the fastest growing forms of fraud and everyone is at risk.
• New government regulations require certain companies to shred documents.
• Moreover, every business has information to be destroyed and incidental business records discarded on a daily basis should be protected.
• Additionally, internal personnel should not be responsible to destroy certain information.

Although many companies feel that recycling meets the requirements of confidentiality that is not the case. Recycling is not an adequate alternative for information destruction. Stored records should be destroyed on a regular basis and most records storage companies do not have the equipment to provide shredding services.
